Cannock's under 11s faced Brewood in their latest 20 over 'pairs' Staffordshire Youth League fixture, needing to pick up their game following a defeat to Burntwood. Brewood won the toss and decided to bat. A quality catch from Oliver Edwards started things off, and the visitors found runs hard to come by as the Cannock bowlers kept it tight, only bowling 3 wides. Jacob Havard bowled 3 overs without conceeding a run, and Ed Page hit the timber 3 times in 4 balls to leave Brewood on 231 for 6 (201 nett) more

EGWCC 1st XI (125-1) beat Stafford 2nd XI (123) by nine wickets An excellent display by all-rounder Lee Bates helped Essington to a comprehensive victory over Stafford in their top of the table clash. Bates claimed three wickets in a blistering new ball spell before scoring an unbeaten 76 as Wyrley surpassed their target of 124 with seventeen overs to spare. more
